Google Maps is Yelp, but in a much more convenient platform. I am new to Android/Google (from over a decade of iPhone use) and find Google Maps to be one of the many great apps I’ve come used to since the switch. I love that I can look up restaurants, venues, etc with ease, no matter my location, whether at home or a away and I will find true experiences and opinions. I love adding my favorite (small biz) local spot(s) and answering questions. I’ve been a visitor as well as a new resident to areas and really rely upon the opinion of others for the best places for everything from dry cleaning to fine dining. I get to be that helpful voice to many as they go about their daily lives in areas that I am familiar with. Our current world is all about convenience and I like being a part of bringing that together with the aid of Google Maps.
