What I love about Google Sharing on Google Maps

I remember a few years back when you would be looking for a place, if you would stop a person walking by and ask them where it is. Now in Egypt, since people think not knowing is rude, they would just tell you what they think and you would find yourself just going round in circles. Google maps came and changed all that, being true to Google’s mission “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful”.
What I love about the sharing and feedback feature within google maps is that I can share my experiences with others while also documenting it for myself. It serves like a mini diary for me, when I am passing a city that I visited a few years back and see my own review in there and i am like oh yeahh this place was awesome.

Another example, is that as a muslim halal food places are usually hard to find in North America, now I and others like me can go explore places and review the place for me letting me know if it is halal or not.

So whether I get invited to the connect event or not, I would like to use this opportunity to thank Google for its amazing mission and always putting the users first. Google changed the world and continues to do so.
