We all have different interests about the things that we share on google maps. Some of us don´t even share or don´t know how to share content. In my opinion sharing experience is the most valuable thing that one can leave on google maps.
Over the years I have had bad luck when visiting places I don´t know. I expected the best experience, but what I got was totally the opposite. This is the main reason why I think that sharing experiences is the most valuable thing to do on google maps. Leaving positive or negative reviews to places like restaurants, museums and other, I contribute to the fact that no one else has to go trough a bad experience and that everyone can have a positive practice during a trip that they planned.
Not only do I leave reviews I also check them so that me and my family can also have a good time. For me recommendation is everything. If a place has a bad reputation, then forget about it. On the other hand, if local guides have left positive reviews the you can count on me to go to the place and see it for myself.
Another thing I love about Google Maps is the fact that I can help others by answering questions and checking out facts. Using google maps while driving I discovered that I can contribute to the community by by updating the maps by adding places and removing the ones that do not exist. That feels really good!
The local guides are bringing people together and we are closer than you think. Helping each other is what is is all about.
