I share public places with beautiful landscapes where I can exercise what I love doing the most that is walking. * In my city there are 77% of obese people according to government health website and I believe that with the reach that Google Maps has, it can help and encourage people to engage in physical activity. . Myself, I lost 18 kilos walking.
@Ggel …I’m with you on the sharing walking (activity) information on maps! I call it “wiking” (walking and hiking) as there are a lot of trails by me so I don’t want people to know they may be in the dirt or get a little dust and dirt on them. Congrats on getting rid of 18 kilos walking too. That’s amazing!!! Cheers!
@Ggel I could not agree more! I use Maps for a lot more than driving! I love hiking and doing some photography for Maps while I’m at it. Reasons to climb the hill!
I also enjoy cycling and have done some serious distances using Maps. One of my just for fun bike rides was a tour of San Francisco and it’s HILLS! They are not for the faint of heart but Maps finds the best possible route.
@Ggel … i.m kind of little lazy person. Love to do sports activities but i.m now 45 , n all friends don’t want to play around ,me too. I have tried so many times to go for walking ,but always something happens to me ,like fever small injuries, headache . So I stopped hoping for walking. I sleep a lot , because I have sleeping disorder. I can’t sleep all the night .I have to take a big nap in days time…
