This was when I just started to post reviews, as a Local Guide. I went to a restaurant with my family, where we visit quite often and ordered our favorite dish. It is a well-known place. This made me assume, that it must already be having, numerous pictures and reviews, on Google Maps and so, I thought adding pictures or posting reviews, of this place, won’t make a difference. I took some pictures though, to share with my friends. Soon after leaving the restaurant, I got a notification from Google Maps, to add pictures of this restaurant. I uploaded this picture(below) and posted a review.
Little did I know, it would be so impactful. In just a few days, this picture became one of the featured photographs. It alone has helped over 200,000 people till date. This boost greatly encouraged me, to put in more efforts, in my contributions to Google Maps.
This is by far the most interesting thing I have done as a Google Local Guide, which made me realize, how important every contribution is, for the people out there, no matter how small you feel it is.
