What Google Local Guides Service Means To Me

I remember the first time that I saw the term Local Guide next to someone’s name on a review. I laughed to myself and said “Who thinks they are good enough to tell me what I’m going to like, most critics are out of touch anyway”. Boy was I wrong. I started to read reviews, view pictures and suggested things from other guides when I first moved to Belleair Bluffs, Florida back in 2018. Without the valuable experience and knowledge from some of your local guides, I wouldn’t even know about half of my favorite places to visit, eat, etc. down here. Hearing the experiences of others has inspired me to get out more and to explore local places and share my experiences to help others as well. Being in a new and unfamiliar place was a challenge that I was able to complete thanks to the help of this community. I can’t say enough about my fellow guides who do this for free to help other people. Thanks Google for allowing us a place to shape the world together. Now that I know about Local Guides Connect, I’ll be posting and viewing posts on here to stay connected and exploring.
