Hi.
I’ve been asked to describe what Google Guides means to me here. It actually is something special to me. See, I used to be a pretty introverted person. Had only a few friends at any given time and made every attempt to not talk to people, even when necessary. It got pretty bad. It was (and still is) tied to some insecurities.
I’ve spent the last few years of my life working on this, trying to improve myself as a whole. Really, I just wanted to stop being afraid. I can now talk to people and keep conversations going, but I still really struggle to ask questions and start conversations.
I’ve always wanted to travel. My favourite trips were the ones where I went alone somewhere to a place where I could figure things out by myself. I can’t keep doing that. I need to talk to people more.
“What does this have to do with Google Guides?” you might ask. Simple. Everyone knows that the best places in any area are only known to the locals. Google guides helps me learn about places before I go there. I can ask people questions (and sometimes I can answer some too!).
Thanks to Google guides, I’m getting out there more, meeting more people, trying more new and exotic things and learning so much about the world.
Google guides helps me see the world the way it’s meant to be seen: with my own eyes.
