Perspective matters, especially when it comes to a multicultural state in a plural society like the US. Being a food critic and a nutritionist allows me a unique take on the food scene here in a very sheltered state. Yet, the populace travels and desires new tastes and looks. Restaurants pop up, and are supported handsomely if they are good. Here is where the junction of Google maps and personal pallet come alive. Where I play is usually a trendy hip place. Swanky is a plus; down home cooking is a requisite. The places which thrive are muy bueno. Most would agree I like pastry, coffee, then lunch counters, and lounges trail the list.
Morning matters; that is when I have time to explore the great establishments in the Land of Enchantment. Good conversation as well is the imperative for the experience. People often ask me, where’s the cheesecake? Corny but true (Dave says Marios, 4th and Montañyo).
