I am Isiaka Abidoye, a Local Guide from Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. Having become a Local Guide two years ago I have realised that I have missed a lot for not joining the Programme earlier judging by its enormous benefits to mankind.
The Programme (Local Guides Programme) mean a lot to me in the sense that it guides me whenever I am embarking upon a journey even without being there before, it will tell me the distance and fastest route right from my home to the destination beforehand.
So, before taking off I have already known how many kilometres, the fastest route and the time the journey will take me. Since I joined the Programme, on several occasions I have embarked on journeys and arrived there without worrying of missing the route to where I am traveling to.
Since I discovered this fantastic programme I did not hesitate to join the Programme and I was in full swing within a few weeks Google Local Guides sent me a pair of socks which I happily received this gift motivated me a lot and within a short period I became a level 5 Local Guide and pending level 6 now. I also not wasted any time I started adding some businesses to Google Map.
By so doing these businesses enjoying high volume of patronage hence their sales increase.
This alone mean a lot to me, to make people excel in their businesses just by adding them to Google Map is a great achievement for me.
In a nutshell, Google Local Guides Programme have not only impacted my life as a Local Guide but the Programme have also benefited those businesses I have added to the Google Map
