HI I’m Arnau Seguí Orellana, a proud local guide from Valencia, Spain.
I was inspired join this community because I consider that it is the best network for being part of a community that brings information from different places around the world.
I consider myself a member of this community because not only I take pictures from every place that I visit, but I also rate and write a review. With the objective of posting them in google maps for improve the experience of the future visitors.
To answer the question about what the local guides program means to me. First and foremost this program for me is information. With this network we can have information from any place around the world.
Moreover, thanks to the thousands of pictures that every one of us do, we can visit and enjoy a lot of places from our house like if we were there. All these material is very useful in this days in my country, where we are in quarantine because of the COVID-19.
Although looking for information from important places , looking for information for a place to eat it is important too. Thanks to google maps, we can know many information of a restaurant before we visit it. We can know where it is, what are their specialties, what is the price of their special dishes, look how are their dishes and a lot of things more. And I like to contribute in this, that is why I am one of these people that take pictures to the food before eating it.
But it that is not all, this programs means to me the possibility to help not only the tourist, but also help the people of my neighborhood, just recollecting information of the timetables of the business of my area and posting them at google maps.
Lastly but not lest important, I have seen the potential of this project and in consequence I decide to study topography, cartography and geodesic.
To sum up, my objective with this program is traveling around the world sharing my experiences and adventures in order to help everyone in their trips.
