By adding new places, posting pictures of it, and commenting about it, we provide some good feedback for concerned owners. It gives them a boost to keep going on. Helping emerging businesses and stores makes me feel connected to and responsible for my surroundings. Besides, it stimulates my city growth.
I remember walking by a stationery store, and there were not many clerks, the owner was attending me by the way. He told me he needed more costumers or the store would not survive. I looked into Google Maps and found out that were no pictures of there! I offered my help to him and took tons of pictures of the store, uploaded the best ones, and told him how it was important to be on the internet. He told me that he didn’t know how to do that. Knowing that I spent three hours teaching and editing everything I could for him. When we finished it he asked me if I wanted something in exchange, I told him to keep being the nice man he was to me. I gave him my phone number in case he needs any help in the future. I was really happy to be useful. And seeing his smile, in the end, made my day and melted my heart.
