I am Asis, a level 6 local guide from KOLKATA, INDIA. I am self employee.
What local guide means to me: Proper information conveys to others peoples, friendship and sharing.
The local guide program has had a significant on my life,since I got involved fours years ago.
Last February I have new record on google, My photo reached 30k peoples.
I love travelling to explore the beauty of the world. When i visit any place I contribute in google maps through photo & review.
Last December 2016 I have visited HORNBILL festival in Nagaland, India. After then upload all the information there to google map . Then many tourists contacted me and wanted to know how to attend the
festival. I gave them the details (Hotel name,Tariff, Transportation etc.)
I believe that there afew things to keep in mind when sharing any information.
- The information should be in simple & interesting language.
- Historical information about the place.
- Distance/ Time/ fare from nearest airport / Railway station / City.
- Food & lodging with local food habit.
- Local cultures & festivals.
- Emergency contact number (Hospital,Police station etc.)
- Local guide contact number.
If the information mentioned above is properly known to tourist, they will be no difficulty during the journey and will encourage more tourist to come.
