I came to the United States from India as a student and being a vegetarian with no cooking experience I knew I will be having a hard time in terms of food. I started my journey in Hayward, California where when I asked someone where can I find delicious food the first answer I used to get is eating salad or cheese pizza and I used to hate these both, On the other hand, I used to search on google for restaurants, a list of places definitely showed up but none had any detailed reviews or good quality pictures. Here is when I took the matter in my own hands and started writing reviews of any restaurant I tried. Although I did not stay in Hayward for long, I have written a fair share of reviews from Boston and Los Angeles for vegetarian food.
Coming to the point Local guides program is a medium for me to help fellow vegetarians in the country, especially those who are not local. I know people have a hard time finding good spicy, delicious vegetarian food and are hesitant in trying anything new without reading reviews and pictures of the food. Local Guides program means sharing my experience, caring for fellow herbivores and making sure no one has a hard time finding the food they love.
