What does the Local Guides program mean to you?

The Local Guide program opened this year. She made me take pictures of beautiful places where there are simply no people, to become an assistant in the search for information, to be an editor and also a researcher. Surprised that the number of views of photos of dishes exceeds the number of photos with nature. I conclude that instincts prevail over the pursuit of the beautiful.

I have been working at Alaska for six months now, a volunteer from Alaska and his name is Jody (Peace Corps). I asked him, “Why us? Is the same distance more than 7000 km, another culture, an unknown language? " He answered me, it is considered honorable in his homeland. I thought that local guides are volunteers to some extent and it’s just as honorable. I want to continue to be a member of such a global community and be useful. You’re cool!

@AleksXXX I can agree with you. There are much more photos of food than the photos of parks, squares, museums or even goods in the shops (though it strange in consumer society).

It seems people nowadays think mostly of their stomachs, they forget that the food is necessary to live and to be able to do something, not to pleasure themselves. It makes me sad.
