I recently received an email stating that I am eligible to apply to attend Google’s 5th annual global event. My 1st reaction was to jump up and down because this was way awesome. It has been my secret dream to attend gatherings like this but I never did know how to get to one. I had to follow steps to apply, some I have never done before and not really comfortable doing (making a video was nerve wracking! I made lots) I am more of the behind the scenes woman lol. Good thing Pikachu was behind me all the way (wink) The next step was to create a new post. Now this I can do 
For me, the Local Guides program is all about connecting people. Sharing your thoughts and feedback with the intention of helping others make better choices, create awareness, help boost visibility of stores and products, and helping people with businesses see what type of products or services people are looking for and hopefully guide them to improve their business.
We get to empower people with the feedback, pictures, rates that we give and it’s also important that we are careful when we do this because this can change lives. I have always loved sharing my experiences and taking pictures of places I go to. I love to help and as long as I can answer their questions I do not hesitate to share my experience. We get to connect with different types of people who have one goal in mind and that is to get good service and have a wonderful experience.
