What does the Local Guides program mean to you?

The Local Guides program had a vital impact on my life since I got involved a couple of years ago. I love to share fascinating stories behind all is that "Why I joined the Local Guides program and What is the most exciting thing I’ve done?.

I am from India, and I landed in the USA five years ago. Coming to an entirely new world is very excited as well as a bit nervous  . I practiced the guidance of Google Local Guide Community to find a better place to stay, food, and even where and how to reach there and what I supposed to do? And that was my first big THANKS to Google Local Guides. Gradually I also think of contributing and by that can give reward to my community. Through drooping reviews and starring places, I have been to make it easy to provide directions for those needs it. I have really found it interesting to help someone navigate his/her way in his city, and the most fantastic part is, some of them have been in this city for a very long time but can’t find there way around or even not knowing best restaurant placed either.

I don’t know if you got 1,000,000 views for photos on Google Local guides or no, But believe me, it’s exhilarating. The email from Google Local guides saying that “Your photos reached a new record on Google Maps!” gives me a boost to contribute more and more, and I’m helping the community by giving them what they want or what they need. My joy comes from knowing that I have created an impact by sharing my own experience through my photography and words.

The most exciting thing I have done using Google Guides as a Local Guide is to connect the dots between entertainment and culture with real services and businesses, and getting feedback and appreciation from the owners of the places is priceless. Apart from energizing me to explore the world around me in great detail and connecting me with friends all over the world.

So, This is the story that interests me as a local guide and mean a lots to me. I hope you like it, so keep reviewing, posting, clicking, and helps our community how and where needed!! :hugs: :hugs:
