The Local Guides program helped me in finding various interesting places for me to visit when I was traveling in an area. This program is also my mainstay in finding various information about a place that I will or want to visit later soon.
At that time I was in the 2019 YCEE (Youth Cultural and Educational Exchange) international program organized by the YBB youth organization (Youth Break the Boundaries). You need to know that this organization is an organization that focuses on youth development and empowerment. With me being chosen as one of the candidates to take part in this program, I’m certainly very grateful. Besides being able to learn many things about youth development, education, and culture from outside, of course, this is my first experience being able to travel abroad.
Of course, as you all know yourself. Events like this will only last for a few days. With only a few days in a new area, it would be very unfortunate if not using it to travel, right? Therefore, not all of them decided to extend the day here (at that time the program was collaborating with Turkey), thus, only me and a few delegates decided to be determined to travel here.
You can imagine, without any acquaintances, without adequate information at the time, without being able to speak the local language, I and some of my friends felt like an alien in the middle of a crowd of Turkish citizens. Finally, the idea arose to use the Local Guides program as our guide, you could say the compass. From here, we began to be confident to travel with the information in this Local Guides program. It was very happy, through this program we were able to find various interesting places in Turkey that we could visit, according to the budget that we had prepared for travel activities, of course.
We decided to go to the Bursa region because we found information on where to play snow at the time in Turkey. We also agreed to decide to go there as the first destination.
Satisfied with playing snow, of course, have to pay no small amount of course too. Finally, by weighing the remaining budget for souvenirs when returning home, we decided to go le tourist attractions in cities only, of course, by following the advice and information from the Local Guides program. From here also, we found the district is a district that has many and main tourist locations in Turkey. Here, too, we visited tourist attractions such as the Blue Mosque, Galata Tower, Aya Sofia, the Grand Bazaar.
Oh yes, do not forget too, in addition to travel to various tourist attractions here, we also took the time to visit the Indonesian embassy here. That was what we got after finding that information in the Local Guides program. I feel very grateful for the Local Guides program, being able to play and visit various tourist attractions, and establish friendships with our distant relatives.
