I am proud to be a local guide because I am a part of a huge community from all over the world, and it doesn’t matter where are you from, just your passion to contribute and be able to give and receive feedback about places thanks to Google Maps & Connect.
I started step by step three years ago, but now I am contributing to GM more and more and I love it! I can nourish the world with useful information such as accessibility or viewpoint spots. Now I am paying more attention to small details which are crucial for special collective, for example the accessibility one, and I am proud of that. On my reviews I try to add keywords for the environment/ experiences you have at the place in order to avoid having the same comments over and over, and it improves the review a lot, in my opinion.
I get out there and explore, and the best way to share my experience is through GM. As a neture lover, I notice that there is lack of information of great spots that we have in the mountains so every time I go on a hike I photograph the place and mark it on my phone so I can add a new place and write a review later.
I am also getting into trying new features such as uploading videos to GM and 360 photos on Street View App. My next goal will be creating new path on the map.
As a user I want GM to be as precise as possible, so I try my best to contribute in order the map to evolve as well. Moreover, the credibility that each level gives you is nice because I think that you then have more power on editing things.
As a Local Guide I had the opportunity to meet great people with whom I maintain contact through social networking sites and follow them while they explore the world and show us new cultures.
