Good afternoon to all local guides across the World, hope you are well and safe
It is an honour and privilege to be part of the local guides community.
Over the last few months since joining the program towards the end of October 2019, the local guides program has made a huge and positive impact in my life. The program enables me to bring Cape Town to the World through my photographs. I am an adventurer by heart and love to explore places around the City and in those moments, meet very interesting people. The moments captured are special and uniquely different capturing the essence and heart of the respective location with its people which speaks to each and every individual on Google and Google Maps respectively.
Being a local guide has helped me to develop my passion for photography even further. Before joining the program, I would take photographs of “interesting places and spaces” or just taking photographs of something which catches my eye. Through the program, my life purpose was defined and one of the best moments in my local guides journey was the day when I received the email notification “Great Job, your photo is popular!” and Great job, your review is helping people! That is music to my ears and very heartwarming to know that I am assisting so many “Googlers”.
In addition, the pleasure of seeing and knowing that after eating a lovely meal at a local restaurant and the impact my review has on the business and the appreciation the business owner shares thereafter by means of a response email.
My aim is to connect with more local guides locally and globally, as I would like to build friendships as relationships is key and valued. I am an ardent student of the Universe and have lots to learn. Thank you for being part of my journey.
To be part of the local guides community is one of my biggest highlights in my life. “Individuals united from across the World coming together for one common purpose, exploring the World together and enriching each other and the lives of others”
