Hey, what’s up internet, and especially other local guides! hope you are all right with this pandemic,
Well, in this time of quarantine I want to share with you what does the local guides program mean to me,
Let me start with the beginning, I’m Renzo Mayer and since January 2017 I’m a local guide radicated on Montevideo, Uruguay.
This program means a lot, so much that I even evangelize all my contacts to start, contribute. I believe in a connected world, and for that, we need the information and point of view of many of us as possible, I can’t remember the times where I don’t search on google maps to solve problems and check another user perspective and information was crucial.
For example, these are keys moments that google local guides impact my life:
Finding interesting places on my vacations, to see, to eat, to build itinerates, check open hours, wow so many things for my travels,
And another moment would be like last week, that moment when I lose the keys from my house, and I check google maps to find a key copy place and find one at 20:00 hs that was open and after check reviews about times to make the copy I went on my bike to that place.
But I think the best moment was telling people about this tools, and see them used to understand their customer, I mean its a combination of google local guides and my business, but I do food photography and usually I recommend my customers to make an account and put all the data about their entrepreneur, and why not the other in their community, so they can facilitate data about them and their peers, we are going to the same direction, so its good to have a platform to make that happen. From starts to facts, information, we are all more connected thanks to local guides and I appreciate that.
