What does the Local Guides program mean to me?

The Local Guides program allows reviewers like me to share my opinion and experiences of places that we visit, with every person who is interested about it and also the owners and managers of the place.

This program is no less than a blooming garden for me where I can review and post photos and videos, to provide an idea about the place they’re thinking to visit. The photos and videos help in making their idea form a definitive shape, when they can see the whole place without even stepping out. But after some time, it feels like a responsibility to share and make it a proper experience for the user, which makes it all the more fun.

This program is so nurturing & fruitful. I’ve always be an introvert and somewhat socially awkward when it comes to meeting people, but being a Local Guide has helped me improve my situation as more forward and outgoing person. I wouldn’t say that I’m not an introvert anymore, but ambivert is the closest that I can most relate to, now.

As soon as this pandemic situation get over, I think I’ll be all the more determined and persistent in arranging and setting a Meet-up in Kolkata with all my fellow Contributors.
