The Local Guides Program is an opportunity to share all of the interesting things that I’ve found on my travels with others.
I’m passionate about traveling. I have been to 41/197 countries in the world (or /195, depending on how you look at it). For me, the best way to see a new place is to learn from a local. The next best way is doing a lot of research, which involves a lot of checking out places and pictures on Google Maps. When I discover a new hidden gem on my travels, I love to share my discovery with others. I like to share on Google Maps because that’s where I look when I’m trying to find someplace new. I look at posting pictures and reviews as a way to pay it forward to other travelers.
The Local Guides Program gives me a platform that allows me to share my discoveries with a large number of people. I love when I get a notification that thousands of people have viewed one of my photos or reviews. It makes me feel like I’m helping fellow travelers and contributing to a community!
Here are some of my favorite photos that I’ve shared:
River and Woods in Boulder, Colorado
Shujiuxiang Hot Pot Restaurant in Chengdu, China
Kaos Dayclub in Las Vegas, Nevada
I’d love to connect with other Local Guides! What are some of your favorites in your hometown?
