In the first place travelling around the world adds adventure to my life and in the second instance I like the idea that my contributions benefit other people in the same way that I benefited by contributions by others before me. Getting reviews after my feedback with reviews is very satisfying as is collecting points towards the Local Guides level 5 and having the opportunity to apply to see people at Connect live 2020. I love travelling around world to see new environments; exploring the world is for me a way to link me to and relate to people anywhere in the world on a personal level- a level much more rewarding than feeling or being regarded as a passing tourist.
I can not remember when I got started with the Local Guides but I have enjoyed it all along. I remember once when sitting in a coach and the Local Guides programme was asking about passenger numbers sitting on that coach. Suddenly it occurred to me that my feedback can help other people, too.
Yes, I can see that being a Local Guide Level 5 on the Local Guide Programme is helping to make the world a global village where you can share your travel experience with everyone around the world.
