This is the first time I am writing post on Connect so let me introduce myself.I am Drashti Patel from Surat,India.I live in hostel at Gandhinagar to study Computer Engineering.
I was in second year of my college when I found out about the Google Local guide program through my google maps notification, before then i used to ignore them.Then, I started to rate the places ,wrote a reviews of the places I have visited and uploaded the pictures of that places.
I really like the platform that google provides through the Local guide program to help others and who doesn’t love Google’s UI 
.
When I found out that my reviews and pictures are helping others too choose the right places , i encouraged to visit more places and to write about more places.I suggested this program to some of my friends and now it is like a competition to reach at the higher level between us.
Local Guide Platform is like so much to me .It is like a my friend with whom I can talk about all new places I have visited.I have been Introvert my whole life so this platform is my safe place.
It helped me to meet a people like me and it helped me to make some very good friends.
And If i can help as many people through my views then what else I want?!
