I am relatively new to the Local guides program and wasn’t reviewing much in my life. Firstly I was hesitating as I thought that you have to go places in order to review it and have different experiences, to be able to compare in order to give a fair and helpful review. Since I moved to London about eight years ago I discovered my passion of traveling and photography and wanted to share it with people. Through those passions I discovered Dubai and found myself creating my new life here. Hence now I realise I was more of a user, as I was always googling places before going and checking the reviews, but never give back much of my opinion in order to help others. I came to realisation how important and meaningful this program is when I saw different aspect of it, when I have created my own place of business on google and saw people discovering it and giving their feedback about the great experience they had. I realised that I can help others through my experience shared, help others to connect with places by sharing my photography and stories about it. I think it became a part of my life recently as I want to connect with people, bring them my experiences and help them discover new places, as well as help the businesses grow. I think we all looking for purpose in life, and if my pictures can help one person to discover something new and bring joy to life, or it can help a business to bring more clients then that’s the meaning for me.
It’s great to be a part of such a big community and understand that it’s all about sharing and connecting with others - this is when great things come to life. I want to encourage everyone to share their experiences, as it is the greatest thing to help others improve. Life is all about sharing and connecting with each other.
