What does the local guides program mean to me?

Last year was finally my year abroad, something I ever dreamed of; getting to discover new cultures, traditions, and places. During this year of massive traveling, I deeply relied on local guides, each time I was planning a trip and I used all the google tools I could to shape my trip as I wanted.

There’s nothing more satisfying than a good, concise useful review from a local guide when you’re interested in a place. And there’s nothing more satisfying than leaving a beautiful place where you had an amazing experience that is worth sharing and then doing it through local guides!

As a sharing person, I love shouting to all my friends about the new great places I discover: museums, restaurants, monuments and of course give them tips and telling them everything they need to know to visit it, so Local guides mean a lot to me because it helps me to get closer from those who are looking for tips about different and original things to do.

I simply can’t imagine my life without this program anymore, I automatically look for other’s contributions and feel an authentic compromise with the community each time I write one it’s amazing to see how far your contributions can get and how many people you can help by just taking a bit of time to engage with the cause.

For example, my favorite coffee place in Paris, the coziest café on earth because it’s very homie and warm, the vibes of the place are my favorite part so I wanted to show the place and share my experience.

And last but definitely not least, I love teaching about local guides with the people who haven’t discovered it yet, that look on my aunt’s face when I told her that she could see the reviews of the new hairdresser she was going to because the usual one had to close. She was completely enlightened by this ‘technological and connected world’ so nowadays she is just like me and she always looks up for the places and contributes to the community.
