I honestly became a local guide not intentionally. I just found myself giving reviews and answering questions about places. I did this because I was happy to help the service. I knew a lot of people rely on real people data and experiences to pre-plan or to choose destinations (I know I do)
This program to me means I get to help other people like me in a small way. I may not be a great explorer but when you Google that supermarket or gym and get to see my 2 star rating, giirrrl run! If you don’t carry cash like I do, I gave my insights on places I’ve visited that take credit cards.
I’m honestly just happy to help, and that makes me happy and in turn I learn from other local guides when i go to new places.
That is what being a Local Guide means to me.
