What does the Local Guides Program mean to me

I’m very glad that one day joining this network really by accident now I’am a part of such GLOBAL, such IMPORTANT, such USEFUL enterprise all over the World and for Whole World!

Fortunately I’m at that stage of my life when I have been realized that giving back, giving something to the others is much more satisfying then just taking. Local Guides Program is an opportunity to help others in my own small way. I’m still a beginner

I like to travel and I know well how much work every time is behind the organization of each trip: to find the most worthy sights, to find not touristy typical restaurants and others. I’m just happy to share my experience, my photos, my opinion and to be a guide for other travellers. Personally I’m consulting Google Maps several times a day and if every inhabitant of our planet does the same I realize how the contributions of Local Guides are INDISPENSABLE. When I see that my picture was visualized 160.000 times it makes me feel needed! I’m a guide and tour assistant in Venice, Italy. So I’m a double local guide:) Feel free to ask me any information about our splendid city.

Hi @Natasha_Krystal , since there’s still time for the application, I really suggest you to read carefully at this Guideline again of how to make a good application post, which the post must be 300 words minimum and it should be under “Local Stories” topic. Wish you luck!

Because you are new here, do you want to introduce yourself? See this post to find out more. Introduce Yourself - March 2020.

I hope all is okay where you are and you be safe. How do you feel about large drop in tourism where you are? Is it nice having Venice quiet for a while?

Hello @Natasha_Krystal ,

Thank you for sharing with us.

It seems you are new to Connect or writing to share a post for your Connect Live application. If you’re applying to Connect Live 2020 be sure to share a link to a new Connect post responding to this year’s application prompt. You can find everything you need to know about writing a post for Connect Live 2020 here. If you think you have missed some of the points required, you could always come back and edit your post.

Feel free to have a look at Your guide to Connect for more information about the Local Guides program.

Please note that I will relabel your post to Local Stories as this is the place where you can write a post to inspire others to join your cause or share tips for ways people can make a difference in their local neighborhoods. I’ve also noticed that your post has a Russian language label. Please note that I’m going to remove it because it is not written in the Russian language.

Please take a look at the How do I find posts in my preferred language? article, where you can find how to use language labels and search for posts in your preferred language.
