Everything started with this picture:
Every January I try to go on a trip with my friends to some European city and last year, January 2019, we went to Berlin. My experience with Local Guides before this trip was almost null but everything changed from that point.
As a food lover I am, I was looking for the most typical Berlin dish and the best restaurant to eat it. After searching on google I found out that this dish was called “Eisbein” so I started immediately the research to find the best restaurant. After a while browsing on Google Maps I found “Boulevard Friedrichstrasse”, I fell in love with this place because of the images that other Local Guides uploaded, and I decided to go. The restaurant was amazing and the food was exactly what I was looking for.
While I was eating, I thought to myself, Why don’t you take photos to help other people that are in the same situation as you? So I did it and for now this picture is the most visited one with 28.000 views.
After this trip I started posting pictures of all the places that I liked and seemed interesting. And thanks to being mor active on Google maps I discovered many amazing sites that I would never have visited if I had not known about Local Guides.
Now travelling is even more fun because you leave your mark wherever you go as you can see in this map.
