what does the local guides program mean to me?

I discovered the true sense of being a local guide in 2016 in New York. I was like many people thinking that being a local guide was just a waste of time, annoying… etc. One day I was supposed to meet someone for an an interview in downtown NY and I almost was gonna be late just because of a single detail of an entrance. From that day I stood up and see what else I can bring to the table to help other people not to be in the same situation like I was

. When I started taking pictures I was a little shy at the beginning until I met a couple who said something that changed my experience. They told me after a long discussion that being a local guide was kinda giving back to your community and from that day it changed my whole experience as a new local guide and I started to take things more seriously. For me being a local guide is a lifestyle, and charity thing that you do with no intend of having something back and the only satisfaction that you can expect is the help that you give to other people. I met a lot of friends from different places around the world and I am think full for that.
