What does the Local Guides program mean to me?

How do you decide where to go on a date? How do you make a plan when you want to travel to a new place? For me, search on Google Maps is the best way to figure out all these things. Checking the stars and comments on Google Maps before going to a new place imperceptibly becomes a regular SOP in my life.

However, there will always have new stores or hidden spots that haven’t been posted on, initially, I was so hesitating that if I should give it a try or not, but suddenly an idea came into my mind “Why not being the first one to post some stuff? Then other visitors can get some information about this place!” So I start writing reviews, and be surprised by even an inconspicuous store in the countryside can reach 300000 views! Recently I get the honor of the local guide level-7 unconsciously!

My goal is want to share some useful information with everyone, just like you may attempt to find the menu or prices of a restaurant, it will feel very frustrating if you eventually got nothing and worried about the price may over the budget so giving up to enter. Or perhaps you traveled aboard, for example, Japan, most of the reviews are written by Japanese, although there’s a translation, but compare to native speaker’s articles, it’s still hard to understand, therefore I will do my best to leave a comment for those who can not read Japanese. These kinds of problems and experiences make me keep changing and revising my post style. Until now I still keep wondering what can I do to improve my posts and let it could be more useful and easy to read.

The most cheerful thing is when I noticed that many people read my reviews and think it is useful. So what does the Local Guides program mean to me? Gathering information and bringing up great ideas for not only me but also someone who needed and can help to make a decision gently!
