Hello, Everyone, My Name is Htet Myat Htoo Local guide level 6 from Yangon, Myanmar.
I started using Google Maps last 5 years ago that I need to travel to some other city that I never been to before. I decided to use some map applications that useful and accurate for me.
As my life career, my work likes to going around other cities outside of my native town Yangon. I found out google Maps is a more stable and consistent map than any other map system. When I start using google map, I didn’t know I can fix and add some trust details and info on google map. Whenever I go to new locations, I start typing the name of the place I go onto Google on my phone and that is always helpful to me. After I using google map often in later, google ask me a question to contribute and adding information as a google map guide. After searching for some sources and doing again and fix a few things, I finally know how to add and fix data for helping people and find places they are searching on google map.
I believed Google is the best way to do help people as local guides and make contributions to add all travel and Photography and Food/beverage details.
Local guide in Myanmar
Most google local guides will never hear about our country Myanmar which located in South East Asia on the Asian continent. As for me, I being proud of helping my people on google map and give some true details through google. Except for the main capital city named Yangon, not too much local guide in-country also due to the limited amount of internet and telecommunications. Also, people added photos when they got a question from Google Maps, they don’t even know they can do as a local guide through to meet new international community likes as this local guide connect program.
I am truly encouraging other people to be google local guide and make a contribution together on google map for our country Myanmar ??
Proud of Google local guide
I am proud of being a google local guide that helps people with accurate detail and the latest information. The first year as I using google Maps, I only added new photos every day everywhere I go. I don’t know how is google map work and how eating for the local guide. Later that my daily routine is checking my Gmail account which connected as a local guide on the map. I was so happy to see how many viewers reaching every photo that I post. This result showing via google giving me a lot of motivation and also get inspiration from some of the local guide seniors in Myanmar. It guiding me on how to improve the local guide level and how to move faster with more points earning.
I really like to writing a review about places and giving options and suggestions on google map. It can really helpful for clients and also helping to grow business from the business owner’s side too. I believed all theses things could help and building relationships/ trust when they doing business with the international community and group.
I also making a listing to help people and to compare other different quality products and services.

What I learned from Local guide program
As for me who traveling around in the country very often. I really appreciate google all team members and their idea is creative and excellent work done.
Being part of the local guide, Learned so many things and a lot of knowing other different country and their traditional and heritage.
Give suggestions and guidance for other travelers and tourists using google systems.
As a conclusion, I like to share my travel experiences wherever I go through google map and proud to be a local guide from Myanmar.
