I’m Tisjy T. Mohan, a level 6 Local Guide from Kerala, India and I can’t really express the joy within in perfectly expressing this new Feather on my cap as a Local Guide in my place.Today,Local Guides is my perfect to go pastime. Traveling to new places, meeting up with people and exploring their traditions and cultures has always been of great interest to me.
Being born and Raised in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, I’ve been raised in an Arab manner being adhered to their diverse traditions and cultures. Being an Indian and hailing from a country of diverse cultures, it was quite unanimous to ignore the diversity around me.
Google maps was always used as a handy tool for commutation ever since I first got my hands on a smartphone and I must admit that it has been highly instrumental and has been my hero in terms of cutting across traffic in times of immediate needs.
Well,Local guides has unlocked a platform which gives me the opportunity to put across my honest and straight forward thoughts without any second thoughts. The fact of knowing that the same is being read and is helpful for the audience out there is indeed the fuel that drives me ahead in terms of making further contributions.
From being a total shy idol out there in the public, Because of Local Guides today, I no longer feel shy but rather pull out my smartphone or camera to post a picture of that new eatery or that tourist spot that I’m currently at.Google has also instilled this cap in me that even people in my college today consider me as a worthy advisor to make suggestions to help them spend the weekend or to have a good time after a hectic day’s work at college.
Not only has this communion helped me in terms of honing my photography skills, it helps me to put out my true vibes on a place of visit without being judged on my talent of photography. It has also enabled me to explore those interesting yet lesser known places which would’ve completely been blindsided otherwise. It has also helped me to find out and try new cuisines which has broken barriers in terms of traveling to new places. The people in this community come from diverse backgrounds, equipped with limitless resources hence there is always a scope of learning in every step through this community.
No two dishes are alike though they may contain the same ingredients. Likewise, Every review out there is unique and hence during this time span of a year I’ve been able to thoroughly understand that my contribution to this community is definitely making a difference in terms of providing a seamless and wonderful experience to the person looking to visit a particular place.
I’m honored and ever so glad to be a part of this community and I will never miss out on a chance to improve in terms of making further contributions. The thorough foodie and the curious wanderer will never compromise on an opportunity to explore the limitless world out in front of me because Google has taught me that the world out there is unending if you truly crave to explore all sides of it!
Hence, I’ve taken up this call as a Local Guide and attending this year’s annual summit in Bay Area would not only be a golden opportunity in terms of getting a chance to share my experiences and my views as a Local Guide, but it will again awaken the lively being in me who will get a chance to meet new people, to exchange their culture and to make some great new friends.
Local Guides, today is more like a family member that I wouldn’t simply Let go off anytime soon!
