What does the Local Guides program mean to me

Since 2017 I work with Voluntourism in Brazil with Vivalá - vivala.com.br.

Our work combines community-based tourism with volunteer training for Brazilian microentrepreneurs in these communities.

In the last four years, we have expanded our work to three communities in the Amazon, one in Maranhão and another in Goiás, and doing this work by encouraging Brazilian communities is very important to me.

And it was traveling a lot in Brazil that Local Guides became important to me.

I was sharing our expeditions and showing more and more people the importance of volunteering and how everyone in the process felt good about this type of experience.

I was surprised by the giant capacity of dissemination being a local guide and I saw that all this strength could help me to bring more people to this type of development.

I started to create the habit of sharing and from there I evaluated many of my experiences on the platform, such as airports, hotels, restaurants, experiences and everything else that appeared :slightly_smiling_face:

I love the Google story and Local Guides would be no different.

May the community only grow and that people encourage more and more people to act positively and enjoy life through the platform.
