What does the Local Guides program mean to me?

I knew the Local Guides program long ago through the Google Maps application. At first, I was just wondering how it works. I published reviews, gaining points, I liked the game mechanics of the program.

The more I made a contribution to the development of Google Maps, the more interesting it was for me to learn more about Local Guides. I myself began to very actively use the tips of the guides, and it turned out to be very useful.

Feeling the benefit on myself, I wanted to share it with other users. I began to write reviews and upload photos very actively, answered questions, and sometimes made edits. I noticed that this is useful not only for people who are looking for a specific place or want to learn more about it. Owners and representatives of many institutions also looked at my reviews and left answers. This means my feedback has been helpful in improving their business. At least a little, but I became involved in many companies, made a small contribution to their development.

Now the Local Guides program for me is an excellent orientation tool in many countries, I can’t imagine life without Google Maps :slightly_smiling_face: It’s also my hobby. When I go somewhere, I try to take photos and remember everything that happens to me, then to write interesting useful reviews and show people what is worth visiting.

Now Local Guides for me it is also possible to visit America, learn more about American culture, meet new people, improve my English and get closer to the Google brand. I really like the many things Google does for people. To see everything from the inside is my dream.
