What does being a local guide mean to me? Well like im sure so many of you other guides out there it means helping people. For me personally its more then just helping people avoid life threatening situations ( how i first got introduced to local guides f y i ). Its about giving every detail i can about my experiences good and bad . This allows other potential consumers , visitors , etc . to be able to make more informed decisions about places and be prepared so that they may either get a greater experience from the activity or be able to avoid the activity and save themselves the bad experience if needed. I’ve also come to realize this being a google local guide also allows business owners , managers , etc . to have a real truthful opinion on their service and be able to change or focus on things based upon our experiences and reviews on them. For anyone who reads this and is maybe new to being a local guide and thinks this is for big places like vacation spots and such its not just that , i urge you to review your local starbucks or walmart . You will be surprised how much of an impact it makes . IDK about you but knowing that the starbucks 2 min from my house on the way to work takes 30 min to make coffee during the on the way to work morning rush and that the starbucks 5 min away takes 5 min to make the coffee would greatly impact my day.
