I am a foodie and I love to try new places. Ever since I started using google to search for places, the one thing that I read, are the reviews and the pictures. I would read them to get an understanding of what this place was going to consist of then I would the choice to visit or not. I realized that sharing opinions, photos and reviews are the nuances that keep a business/place thriving. I decided that I would also do my part by giving back to the community by adding value to the content of the local guides program. I was a little nervous at first because I did not think that people would even view or like what I had to say, but I quickly realized that it was not true. The local guides program is not just a place to vent or comment, I truly believe that it is a space where people come together by helping others. Whether its a good or negative review, I believe that the consumers are advocating for the businesses/brands by giving worthwhile feedback, which can also benefit the owners by bringing them more customers. This platform gives me a voice that encourages me to be heard. To see the number of views on my photos and likes on my comments, it lets me know to keep sharing and giving back by continuously providing content for the community and the businesses. It is wonderful to see that this community has grown and more people are able to contribute to it and I am excited to be a part of it. Knowing that I can belong to a group of people who share the love of giving back is a wondering feeling to me. I look forward to many more years of sharing my honesty.
