Exploring my backyard
The local guides program has been a good way to explore my talent as a critic of places and food around johannesburg and all the places i have visited in my country South Africa. Through the local guides program i was inspired to explore and experience all the good things my backyard offers. As a university student it can get stressful and one way i can distress is explore and find new things to do while the other is to play djembe drums at the school art center. With the help of google maps I was able to find all these amazing
places without a hassle. Local guides program has given me a voice to tell people all about the good and bad experiences about places. The program has given me a way to document most of my experiences and share them on a global scale.
Local Guides program means a lot to me as it has allowed me to share my opinions and freely express myself and also experience new things through suggestions. It is liberating to share my opinions because there’s people who actually hear you and this gives them the freedom to know and make decisions based on my opinions that are authentic human experiences. With that said local guides means liberation and openness of my exploring and opinions that will shed light to other people.
