I found the local guides program by sheer luck, as a amateur photographer I’ve always been interesting taking pictures wherever i travel and Local guides program is the prefect place to share my experience through my photography with the rest of the world.
Initially I started uploading just the pictures I had taken in the past (and they are many, over 5,000 photos and 2.5 Million views)
Now, I take pictures especially for google maps whenever I’m travelling or see anything interesting or anything that I feel I need to share which might benefit others.
And I do the same, Google Maps is probably the most used app in my mobile, apart from getting directions I rely on finding places to, hotels to stay, Parks to visit. I always look for pictures and reviews before going to a new place.
Since we do not have a very big local guides community in Pakistan, I’ve taken it upon myself to contribute as much as possible to build the database for local as well as travelers visiting our country.
