The Google Local Guides program is a way to register and relive all the memories and experiences I have had again and again. As I document, add photos, share my experiences and write about how it made me feel at that exact moment. It has the same effect as writing a dear diary page.
I can look at my detailed account of the encounter years later and I am instantaneously transported back to the moment aided by photos and videos.
I also get to help a lot of people by guiding them so that they can have similar experiences as I had and avoid some of the tourist traps and mistakes that I might have made and this aspect really makes me feel happy .
I have also relied heavily upon the other Google guides and their advice in planning my adventures around the world and have because of other fellow guides explored some great hidden gems and have because of that had some dream vacations and awesome adventures to share.
Being a part of this community makes me feel like I have a voice , what I say is heard and that my ideas, efforts, and advice are important and that they make a difference.
