What does the Local Guides program mean to me or how to post an objective review.

Hello everyone

I live in Israel and I like to travel with my family. Recently I’ve opened a travel blog where I share with the traveler’s my experiences after visiting on different places.

About a year ago we were at a restaurant in Paris on our trip and, inspired by the restaurant we visited, I decided to post what was on my mind for the first time.

In fact, the exposure of Local Guide made me continue to post comments from almost every visit to place or attraction I’ve been at. After using it, I decided to open an entire website that would include [REDACTED] because I felt I had to put together the pieces of information I leave on each site that I visited for one complete story to make the information necessary for others to make decisions.

Continuing to be a Local Guide, I was exposed to a world of contents, tagging and comments and this led me to uncover a whole community around the issue. I connected with these people in Israel and now I intend to expand my circle of acquaintances mainly to learn from them how they affect this area.

Only when start posting reviews by yourself , you can really understand what a powerful tool it is. It allows you to express either a positive or a negative opinion even if there are not so popular. When expressing opinions, I am trying to be as objective as possible to help others to make a right decision for picking between options.

This requires you to pay attention to all the details, even the smallest ones, in order to assemble and pass through a text complete and accurate description to readers, you need to be careful in your comments because the others trust what is written and you become part of those who determine the concept - ‘wisdom of the majority’.

I hate coming out of a certain place knowing that I will post a negative or less popular comment, but these are the rules of the game.

Another important thing for me it’s when giving this feedback is the hope that business owners read it and take it seriously to improve the service and customer experience.
