Being a local guide is much more than giving a few rates on what you disliked in your last experience. You can tell us that those shrimps where not the best in the Madeleine’s area in Paris, but what we want you to do, is to tell us why and how you feel about the rest of the world. ?
If you are reading this post, you already went through the process of Local Guide’s life but you may sometimes miss the meaning of your contribution to the people who will read your stories. ?
As I said in my introduction, being a local guide is much more than giving a few rates. Your impact will be like a butterfly: a little click, a rate, perhaps a picture and you will have dozens, thousands of people watching your review. ? Which means that one click will give information to our entire community. We can almost say that you are giving an information to the entire world, as anybody with an internet access can see your participation.
Imagine, by giving a rate, you become a member of our community. The ONE who help most of our generation, I mean the next generation, the COMMUNITY generation 
who share, live experiences, & most of all, help each other with verified information. ? When you enter this world, you can not imagine all the doors opened that you took in the past and all the doors which are like a mirror, standing in front of you and asking to be opened. ?
In my experience, one day, I opened a door to a lot of people with this picture:
I wanted to say that this plate ?, according to my opinion, was not really appreciated. More than giving a rate, I told the story of my experience in this restaurant and what i was recommending instead of this desert. The owner thanked me for my contribution and my picture got 687 views which, I hope, helped the next customers and the owner in the future. By the way, try they “Soufflet”, it’s really worth it! ?
In another restaurant, I wanted to share what was important to me: a very simple plate with mushrooms but made with some much love ?:
This is what I mean: tell why / tell how you like things to give a true story. A simple plate can become THE thing to taste where as another simple plate can be the worse to taste.
