What local guide program means to me is a challenge and also a new experience that I found by chance. As driver and tour guide in Santiago de Chile, I have been interested in new places to meet and to show to my clients. Some of them don’t want the typical city tour, they want to go more deep than that.
This program helps me to find and enjoy these new places, to travel outside of the city and enjoy the experience of show to the world that Chile is not just Santiago and Viña Del Mar.
But the most exciting and motivating part of this program is the facility to speak with photos! Doesn’t matter if we don’t speak the same language, my photos helps me to communicate, I am photographer by hobby and know that the people enjoy my photos is reconfortable to me.
Everyday I feel motivated when I know that more people saw may photos on Google Maps. At the beginning was like “okay somebody is looking my photos” but now is like “wow! Almost 500 thousand of people are looking my photos! That people discover the city with my photos, it makes me feel that I need to keep doing this and enjoy with them. It is really important to me.
So, as I said before, this is a challenge to me: Discover new places, take photos and be better and I was yesterday. It is totally motivational to me.
