It’s been few years since i joined Local Guides and become a Local Guide. At first i did not take it seriously. But as time passed, and having in mind that i enjoy to travel (probably like everyone else 
), i began to use it often. Why? Because you help others, you help people you do not even know, you are helping to anyone no matter the nationality, age, sex, political view, religion etc. This is the part i like especially, because a lot of times i am visiting a new place, i personally use google to check for a place to visit, restaurant, hotel, things to do and this is the part where Local Guides to their role and it means a lot, saves you precious time.
Google Local Guides is also a competition, a friendly competition, because having in mind how many your posts have been seen, liked, how many people you have helped so far drives you further and further to become better Local Guide.
Local Guide program makes you proud of your contributions. I am eager to receive monthly e-mails from Google Local Guides so that i can see in precise numbers the impact i have done with my contributions as Local Guide.
Being a Local Guide even helped in seeing the details, that previously I did not mind, especially when you choose where and what to take on the picture.
Helping small businesses is also one of the things achieved via Local Guides program. Now, there is a way, for small businesses to become more known, to grow faster, to be better because of the Local Guides.
And last but not least, i really like and enjoy being a Local Guide, and now it drives me even further to look for new places and to contribute even more and while doing so, we make a better world for everyone.
