You know that amazing feeling when you go to a country and everything is easily accessible, that wasn’t the case in Jordan I got to know about Local Guides Program through an email sent to me by Google. That’s when I learned what love at first sight meant
The idea was soo brilliant! Kudos to the genius behind it.
That’s when I realized, if I want something done, I should do it myself.
I am a Jordanian national but had just moved to Jordan for good recently. I knew the struggle of not knowing how to get around or where to get to. That’s when I decided to help out foreigners and tourists in the hope to make their life easier and their trip to Jordan more enjoyable. Every place I go, it’s me, my iPhone and those reviews. There was something about that feeling of knowing that your contributions in the program may have helped someone today that was so special and fulfilling.
A year later, my friends and I got bored of the same places we visit, so we decided why not get experimental with Amman? THE GUIDE NEEDED TO BE GUIDED and boyyyy the Local guides delivered
I started to visit more places, recommend places to friends and drive around confidently knowing that my fellow guides have my back. The more I was guided around the more my contributions became better. Faulty traffic routes, missing roads/places, no reviews, all that was easily fixed because of the program. I knew that the least contribution made a difference to someone because someone else’s did to me.
So here’s my long story with Local Guides in very few words Stay shining Guides!
