Its an avenue to see the world through other’s eye. Only some fortunate can travel to every country in this world, but to visit each and every place of those countries are impossible. So i scroll through the google map to find a suitable place, most of the time unknown to me, then click on the places to view the reviews or photos. May be that’s a wired habit, but i get the thrill. 
Also helping other members with my reviews and photos of the places giving me immense joy. I, myself look at the places and surroundings in google map before planning my trips. Some time the best kept secrets are shared using this platform which is wonderful opportunity for anyone to get the inner feeling of an unknown place.
I can share one of my experience, one day i visited a physician in north Kolkata, which is a unknown place for me and we had to wait a bit as there were 20-22 patients are waiting before us. So scrolling the map i found river Ganges is near by. I started strolling towards it and witness a wonderful sunset and a nice breeze which soothes my mind and soul. This is the magic of Local guides and google map. Thanks.
