for me local guides program gives me a feeling of being connected globally. It gives information about the places that are not even explored much by anybody, also provides information about whats so interesting about that place. The reviews about certain eateries or dineouts or cafes can give their owners a great help in running them to a good level. Moreover, one can also differentiate and choose the places with amenities according to their requirements. It makes the things easier for others if those places have already been reviewed by the local guides.
