What does the Local Guides program mean to you?
For me it mean a great opportunity and a pleausre of helping many people who are looking for reliable or trusted information and photos about certain places, with all the information available is more easy to take a decision and saves a lot time, so the person can take the best decision or know more before traveling or goin to certain place or site. With all the photos they can see before. Recently I was talking with a friend and he tells me that modern technology changed the way of life, now is more easier than before thanks to the technology and all the information available, in the past there was no information available about certain place or the way to get in some palces so it was necesary to ask to a strangers in the street, and not everyone knows or has the rigth information and if somebody know sometimes they don’t have time to help, in the worst case if someone have bad luck they can ask at the wrong person or a thief and things can be worse, that means that with local guides help without knowing we are saving someone life. With google maps and the help of all local guides around the world a lot information are available 24/7 and are secure and trusted. After talking with my friend, I am now convinced of what I do with the google guide program is worth and not waste of time, because it helps a lot many people, maybe I don’t do it personally but in my free time I update or add information that is helpful to the community or travelers. So lets supporting google guides program to make this world a better place to live.
