- From the beginning local guide was just a way I use to while away time on Google, I remember I and my friend Rahmat will dressup when we were in school simple to go and take pictures and post them on google map, but then I started getting likes and opportunities to reveiw places,photos and even details of places I have been to, then I felt like wow this isn’t just about pictures and pinning locations, it was more than that because I noticed some wrong details people post on Google maps been the country I am from Nigeria , ritualists are real and it could be a way of deceiving people and its up to me to decide if these details should be accepted or not and so I took it upon myself to either speak for or against those details that were posted, I took it upon my self to rid of those wrong details, and so i started paying more attention to Google maps at a time I was obsessed, my friends would ask me what I was doing and why I am always doing what I was doing so I explainee clearly to them and the next thing they start posting on Google maps too. Mmmm to me been a local guide is to become an eagle eye for your people and also guests within the community,state or country, I want them to come into the country, state and Local Government Areas confidently because of the authentic details I have provided for their guidance. I remember been on the road traveling back to my hometown at Bida Local Government Area and I recieved an email of been popular and that am helping people because the information I provided was helpful, yikes I was so happy and thrilled that my skills are after all paying off. I love Adventures, travelling to places and taking beautiful pictures to keep the memory of a location lit in my heart but been a local guide has made such dreams special by giving me the opportunity to share those memories with the World, plus I get to keep them their forever. What makes it even more special is whenever I loose track of the place I was at a time , I can simply check the google map for the details of my location and the time too , been a local guide has really changed my life in numerous ways because as a local guide I am pretty useful to the society, sometimes it keeps me going local guide program means the world to me.
