It was that day maybe 4 years back when I discovered the local guide concept , I go to a place then they ask me to review and upload pictures:) ok !?! I’m going to do it as I really feel that there is something about this place which I would like others to know , learn and experience. It gave me this volunteering happiness feeling that you support others around you. I also thought about it in a different way that since I’m doing this, there are others for sure who are willing to do the same and therefore its useful for me as well…this useful local guide chain inspired me.
I didnt know that I will get notified if someone will read / react / reply to my post or review , so I remember the first time I recieved a notification mail on how my review on google is helping others ! Wow…that was an amazing feeling . This feeling encouraged me to add more and more reviews / pictures.
The next thing was that I started getting appreciated and recognised by Google on this act 
nice feeling! And receiving badges and level ups ! NICE another encouraging action for me to give reviews and feedback on places I visit and travel to.
Now not only that I’m recognized and appreciated by google but also getting a chance to fall in love more and more with this local guide community ! Hopefully I’ll get the chance to meet with like minded people from around the world…share experience…learn from each other …and get out of with a boost to give more and more as a local guide.
Last but not the least, being a local guide is a responsibility, you can have a big impact on a plaace with your reviews, which can be either positive or unfortunately negative.
what really matters is your honestly and you being genuine …you need to revise your review before you post it …the same way you think before sending a business email to ensure that what you wrote is based on a very honest/ genuine feedback. You should not be bias towards anything…if your friend owns a restaurant this doesnt mean you have to give 5 stars unless he/ she really deserves it ! and not giving your x hated boss ;)) a 1 star if he deserves an excellent grade .
